The HERitage Trail is a celebration of women’s untold outdoor stories along the River Tweed — brought to life on two wheels by the FNY Collective. Funded by the Destination Tweed Community Grants Scheme, this project gathers local voices, histories, and routes to connect women past and present through nature, biking, and shared adventure.

With thanks to everyone who rode, shared, and supported the HERitage Trail. This project was made possible by the Destination Tweed Community Grants Scheme, our amazing volunteers, and the women who came before us — whose stories inspire every turn of the trail.
Destination Tweed is a five-year partnership programme that follows the River Tweed from its source in the hills above Moffat to the North Sea at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Through trails, community grants, and nature-based storytelling, it brings to life the rich heritage, environment, and stories of the river and the people who live along it.
