Ready Set Ride Novice Cyclist Monday Session

These sessions will focus on the foundational aspects of traveling by bike, they are designed to help to build confidence and skill while having fun and getting to know a bit more about your bike and and how to operate competently on the road and in pedestrianized areas.

The session will start with brief introductions to your 2 guides and other riders followed by an equipment safety check. The first part of the day will focus on the basics - we will look at correct, safe methods of braking and good body position all 'off road' in a confined flat area to allow confidence building in this safe space. From there we go on a short guided ride using cycle paths, we will look at the use of gears on the way and discuss best practice on the road. We will finish back at the Glentress car park, winding…
